Dublin – March 2023 – uTrack Software was awarded a 3-year contract by Bus Eireann to provide a Network Performance Decisioning System (NPDS).
The NPDS will aid Bus Éireann in the areas of service modelling, service planning and service operation. The solution will reduce the time and effort that is required to create reports and will provide more accurate and up-to-date data.
It connects to and integrate with multiple internal and existing systems (Ticketing, AVL, Mix Telematics, WiFi, SAP, Core HR, Salesforce, IVU, Accident System, Fuel Management and Route Profitability) bringing together a rich dataset (including real-time data) to support business decision making and analysis.
The NPDS solution is a combination of the uTrack Platform providing Bus Eireann with data management and the uTrack Origin Product providing data visualisations, dashboards, real-time tracking & mapping, monitoring & alerts, analytics and data exports to the NTA (National Transport Authority).
Bus Éireann was formed in 1987 as a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ), Ireland’s national public transport provider, to provide bus services throughout Ireland except for Dublin City. It helps people across the country make over 80 million journeys every year, as Ireland’s national bus company.
