ISO 27001 and uTrack
At uTrack, we pride ourselves on ensuring that what we create is secure. We have a number of key processes and systems in place that maintain this security. One of the most important processes we have in place is our Information Security Management System (ISMS). This system is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information that we create and maintain. While it is important to have an ISMS, it is equally important to have an effective ISMS, and to guarantee this, uTrack has sought and achieved ISO 27001 certification.
What is ISO 27001?
ISO/IEC 27001 is the world’s best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS). It defines requirements an ISMS must meet.
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard provides companies of any size and from all sectors of activity with guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system.
Conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 means that an organization or business has put in place a system to manage risks related to the security of data owned or handled by the company, and that this system respects all the best practices and principles enshrined in this International Standard.
uTrack recently finished its first 3-year period of being certified. We are glad to report that we have been recertified for a further 3 years. This is thanks to the hard work and dedication of all the members of staff at uTrack, working hard to maintain our security.
The future of security at uTrack
With security, you can’t afford to stand still. At uTrack, we are making sure we are moving forward. In 2024, we are aiming to bring our UK office into the scope of ISO 27001 as well as seeking other security certifications.
