We’re excited to announce the 2025 Q1 update for Unity, with new features and improvements to enhance communication, vehicle tracking, and overall user experience. This update focuses on 2-way messaging enhancements, vehicle locator updates, and newsfeed improvements.
2-Way Messaging Enhancements
We’ve made several updates to 2-way messaging to improve team communication and collaboration:
- Direct Messages for Team Admins and Chat Managers
Team Admins and Chat Managers can now chat directly with specific users. This new feature enhances productivity by keeping conversations focused. - Read Receipts for Better Transparency
Stay informed with read receipts that show when your message has been picked up. This helps you track engagement and follow up more effectively. - Searchable Chats for Easier Navigation
Looking for an old conversation? With the new chat search feature, you can easily find messages by searching for specific users, saving you time and keeping communication organised. - User Lists in Chats for Improved Visibility
Now you can see all users in a chat, giving you better visibility into who’s part of the conversation.
Vehicle Locator Updates
The vehicle locator has received significant improvements to enhance usability and navigation:
- Updated Design for a Modern Look
We’ve refreshed the design to make the vehicle locator more intuitive and visually appealing, helping you find information faster. - Duty Lookup
Now allows searching for a vehicle or driver duty to find the exact vehicle you are looking for in your area. - Landscape View for Expanded Visibility
The new landscape view provides more space for map navigation, making it easier to track vehicles.
Newsfeed and General Enhancements
Stay informed with the latest newsfeed updates, designed to improve content discovery and access to resources:
- Tags on Newsfeed Articles, Helpful Links and Documents
Articles, Helpful Links and Documents now display tags to help you quickly find relevant content. This makes it easier to stay updated on important topics. - Performance Improvements
In addition to these new features, we’ve made several under-the-hood performance enhancements to ensure a smoother and more reliable experience across the Unity App and Unity Admin.
