Within the UK Bus and Coach industry the name Epsom Coaches is widely known and very much respected for its long and noble history. It is one of those what i like to call family style businesses that have been looking after generations of their local communities for decades. This week the man who has been the driving force at Epsom Coaches enjoyed a special celebration after of his  long and illustrious career.

Steve Whiteway has been at Epsom Coaches for over thirty  five years, for many he is the face of not only the Company but the Industry , having previously been the President of the Confederation of Passenger Transport. Steve joined Epsom Coaches 35 years ago as a coach driver and he has worked his way up the ladder to become the Managing Director of a Company that has a history of 97 years.

Founded in 1920 the Epsom Coaches Group is one of the foremost family owned bus and coach groups in Britain and they have rightly received many awards over the years for their pursuit of excellence. The Company operate a fleet of over 80 vehicles from its high tech base based in Epsom.The Company provides personal and reliable attention to all its customer needs

The Company operates a superb fleet of modern Setra Coaches, they all have air conditioning and as you would expect excellent safety features and most have onboard toilets. They specialise in high quality services to both South London and Surrey The Company turns over several million and today is part of the French owned RATP DEV Group, where Steve has been the Regional MD since the Company was sold in 2012. Steve has also twice served as the President of CPT one of the Industries most respected organisations.

I have known Steve for a number of years and he is one of the nicest and most competent people in the Industry. He is not only highly respected for his work in the industry but also for his work in the local community. He is also a man with a great sense of humour and is an all round good bloke.
